Abstract Odes to South Indian Letterforms

In this body of work, I draw from the ancestral threads of my South Indian roots. I’m studying and pulling inspiration from the essence and the unique viisual characteristics of South Indian language scripts and letterforms. And abstracting them into dynamic strokes and shapes. And celebrating them through my own visual language of painting. There is such rich history and spirit in linguistic diversity and in having a multilingual identity. And this work is really about highlighting that and celebrating that.
